About The Event
The Horseshoe Crab began in 2013 operating out of an airstream trailer at horse shows throughout the Southeast. We found the airstream for sale on the eastern shore of Maryland. We drove 14 hours each way to get it and had to outrun a snow storm to get it back. We had flat tires along I-95 and were stranded for hours. We gutted the airstream- put in hardwood floors and added an a/c unit. We hauled it all over the southeast to horse shoes, offering onsite embroidery.
We ventured from Congers to Aiken to Lexington, KY making new friends all along the way. We would take orders during the day, and sew all night. As demand grew, we opened an Etsy shop offering a limited number of products. Before we knew it, the business was too busy to handle. In 2016, we purchased The Monogram Place that had been in business…
